Overview:

We are Taranaki's Award-winning Authentic Farmers Market, dedicated to supporting local food/drink producers and artisans to establish successful business ventures. All while providing our community with quality local kai that is affordable, fresh and fosters a strong connection to their food—from farm to plate. 

Help shape Taranaki's food future while supercharging your professional journey. We're after new Board Members in general and specific roles to join our team. If you're passionate about local food, community and our region, we'd love for you to apply.

The Roles:

Learn and grow along side our current volunteer Board Team. You'll gain direct support and freedom to expand your skills, provide your knowledge and inform key decisions in our Market's future.

• General Board Member: Decision making, communications, event management, community liaison, among a variety of practical and digital tasks.

• Secretary: Recording meeting minutes, reporting and administration.

• Treasurer: Regular management of the Market's financials, Accountant liaison and financial reporting.

Commitment:

• You'll volunteer your skills and knowledge each month to support our weekly Market to grow, thrive and succeed. 

• Time commitment is 3-4 hours per month, which includes a 1-1.5 hour meeting to discuss key updates and action steps.

• Averaging to 1 hour a week of Trustee mahi.

2. Visit us! We highly encourage you to attend our Market on a Sunday, immerse yourself in our slice of local foodie paradise, chat to our Stallholders + Market Coordinator and gain real insight into how our Market runs and see the difference it makes to our community.
